I don’t usually go for aftermarket wheels, especially chrome ones, but I like these.

I don’t like any wheels with direction. One side of the car will always look backwards.

Ooh, directional wheels! Bonus points if they’re reversed on the other side so the “directional-ness” matches up. Those look a lot better than the dinner plates that come stock:

it looks like they are missing center covers

The only thing I didn’t like about my ‘97 SHO was that the standard wheels had the optional chrome. Nice looking 5 spokers, but ugh, the shiny.

Yeah, usually I think shiny=gaudy. But these are okay, maybe because their surface area is kind of minimal.

It does, until I looked up close and saw the logo.

You know, I didn’t think to check the other side.

So one half will be correct when in drive, and one half when in reverse then.

If they’re doing it correctly, they make a left and right.

But then you have to re-mount tires to rotate them

Yes. Regardless of direction one side will always be going the wrong way. Unless you have a tank.

I’d still take a car with mismatched directional wheels that look good than non-directional ones that don’t. Still a good find regardless, do you know if there’s any way to find out who makes those wheels?

Glass half full vs. glass half empty. :D
I see your point, though, especially about the rotation.

I didn’t take note, and I can’t identify the hub logo from the pic I took, but it was just down the block from me. If the car comes back, I’ll try to find out for you.

My car was silver, like the one pictured. Those wheels, despite being a bit muted, still pissed me off. But that was in the days before plasti-dip.

See, I don’t get the appeal of plasti-dipping wheels because the second the dip gets chipped, it starts to peel back from the breech.

But they go well on the earlier SCs.

Yeah, somewhere in the back of my mind I knew that. But it’s a problem I’ll never have - stuck in Manhattan for good.

I’m sorry. I’m not a big fan of Manhattan myself.

Don’t get me wrong - we’re stuck here by choice. I love this city. But once in a while you have to get off the island.

I understand, but I actually do not like the City. It’s too wheelchair unfriendly (too difficult to drive anywhere, but the subways are mostly not accessible). Also, I’ve lived too long in the Midwest to do without the basic pleasantries in conversation. I’m glad you enjoy it though. I will say that if one has money enough, NYC is an amazing playground, and Central Park is an architectural triumph for the ages.

You’re right - I’m not in a chair, but I notice these things. On our recent trip to Tokyo, it seemed to me that things were more accessible there. And all the infrastructure works. Guy I know heresays if the elevator on the MTA is broken, you ride to another stop and double back.

Exactly. I just think it looks better if it’s symmetric.

No, you just rotate front to back. Unless you have a shit alignment you’ll be fine.
